Tourism Minister Michel Samson says the event is expected to be televised on the Golf Channel to a potential audience of 81 million households in 192 countries. As well, the PGA Tour Canada Cape Breton Celtic Classic will held Sept. 1-7 at The Lakes Golf Club in Ben Eoin. Nova Scotia will be the only province in Canada to play host to two PGA Tour events this year. The PGA Tour had previously released the schedule for its 25-event Web.com Tour before Tuesdays announcement by the province. In addition to Nova Scotia, it also added new tournaments in Oregon and Ohio. The top 25 players on the Web.com money list earn PGA Tour cards for the following year. The Nova Scotia Open will be held at Ashburns new course, a 7,014-yard, par-72 layout that opened in 1970. The tournament will feature a field of 156 golfers competing for a purse of US$650,000. Willy finally connected with Nick Moore for 51 yards to get in scoring range on a six-play 73-yard drive with about four minutes left in the first. Grigsby carried it the last yard to get the Bombers on the board. But Ottawa wasnt finished and Walker caught an eight-yard pass to make it 21-7 before the quarter ended. The Redblacks stalled in the second with penalties and finished the game with 16 to Winnipegs 12, although both lost 120 yards as a result and OShea said thats an area he wants to see fixed. Winnipeg narrowed the gap with Grigsbys four-yard run for his second touchdown of the night. The Redblacks crept ahead on Mahers single and widened it a little more to 25-20 with his 44-yard field goal just before the third quarter ended. He hit at 19 as well in the fourth to make it 28-20.
